Lucky Day 13 of 100 Days Envizualized: Viznotes from Roy Blumenthal, Dean Meyers, and Jonny Goldstein

May 19th, 2009 · 3 Comments · 100 days envizualized

Todays visual notes are from a virtual meeting between Roy Blumenthal, Dean Meyers, and Jonny Goldstein. We talked about the business of visual thinking and facilitated our conversation with over twenty sketchnotes.

We used DimDim, a free web conferencing service that includes a whiteboard.

We used Skype for the Audio, which seemed to work better than the built in audio that comes with DimDim.

For drawing inputs Dean and I used Wacom tablets and Roy used a tablet PC.

Roy and Dean are smart, creative, and savvy dudes.

Here are selected screen grabs:

What a cool session! Thanks for blogging it, Jonny.

Really effective using DimDim.com as a free conferencing tool. And once we added Skype to the mix for audio, it was great.

Excellent jamming with you and Dean.

    My pleasure!

And a nice bonus to explore the technical services and tricks it takes to make this kind of thing happen.

Jonny, doing the jam with you and Roy was great! We covered a lot of ground and yeah, we sure learned something about having a backup technology plan!

I think it was really interesting how we got into building visuals by adding stuff to images each other would start, and the whole visual conversation that went on below (above?) our yakking on skype.
