Prevent Human Trafficking

preventhumantraffficking2

Jonny accurately captured in visuals the essence of a complicated cycle of exploitation and human trafficking that were/are an instant hit – generating new funding and instant recognition of the importance of our preventative approach. With his characteristically thoughtful and creative illustrations he has single-handedly advanced our cause more than any single individual in 2009. His work proves that a picture really is worth a thousand words. There’s something magical in his ability to listen carefully and produce exactly what his clients realize they desperately needed to reach their constituents in powerfully new ways.

“If you are producing a conference there’s one person you have to make sure you bring: Jonny Goldstein. He is a visual artist bar-none. He’s someone who captures the essence of what is being said visually. He is actually sharing his visualization of what’s being said through his art. Jonny reminds me much of a courtroom recorder sketching somebody testifying but he sketches your ideas. He interprets the ideas and makes it available for everyone to see it. I haven’t seen anything quite like it. It is amazing.”

Viz-thinking through a problem with Jonny removed the mental obstacles I had unknowingly created and set me on a fast-track path toward solutions. It was literally as if the landscape had been cleared of fog and road was clear again.

“I first learned about Jonny at An Event Apart in Chicago. After reading more about his Visual Thinking seminars, Iwas excited to invite him into our studio. At M, we believe that good ideas come from everywhere; this sounded like a great way to empower both our account and creative people to think and communicate in a new, dynamic and creative way.

We got together for an M “Inspiration Lunch” to meet, and it was a fun, relaxed and engaging session. We were further encouraged by Jonny’s friendly smile, humor and enthusiasm. As I glanced around the table, it was cool to see how many different ways we each processed and visually represented concepts. The M crew is excited to take the tools Jonny provided to help us brainstorm and approach meetings and projects with a fresh perspective.”

“Jonny Goldstein of Envizualize helped me solve a big problem that was holding my consulting business back. I wanted to grow my business beyond the companies that have been clients of mine for many years. I needed a simple way to explain how my clients use the management methods that I helped them develop and use.

Jonny made a 4-minute animated video that solved my problem by explaining the management methods in a fun and easy-to-understand story. I’m getting very positive feedback on the video from people at companies that will be new clients for me. My existing clients love the video, too, because they can use it to explain to new hires what these methods are all about.

Jonny did a great job turning all of the complicated ideas that I threw at him into a very straight-forward story. He drew wonderful visuals that make it easy for people to visualize how the methods work. The best part about working with him is the positive way he kept the process moving along.

I recommend Jonny Goldstein to everyone who needs to communicate their message in a visually compelling way.”

Never Stop Marketing

Jonny’s visuals do more than tell a story, they persuade.

Case in point. I presented in June, 2009 at the Twitter 140 conference in New York and offered an unpopular thesis. Don’t follow everyone back. In fact, be HIGHLY selective in whom you choose to follow.

This was met by some boos, believe it or not.

A few days later, Jonny sent me the graphic, which I posted on my blog.

Since then, I can’t tell you the number of people who have said something along the lines of “when I heard your idea that you only follow 140 people, I thought you were an arrogant SOB. Then, I saw the graphic and listened to the presentation and you know, it makes sense” (even if they don’t agree with it).

In the case of Jonny’s visual, his picture is certainly worth more than 140 characters 😉

A huge communications aid for me.

Jonny Goldstein plays a unique role: he is a visualizer of the creative zeitgeist in Philadelphia, New York, and nationally. Jonny brings the power of visual thinking (the ability to visualize the creative process) to numerous conferences, gatherings, and projects. For my own gayhistory wiki, he participated in a community conversation at Refresh Philly about how to take the project to the next level, and his images helped to synthesize and focus the key take-homes from the conversation. One of the most notable things about Jonny is that he makes it his business to participate in all of the most exciting conversations and strategy sessions, and then he offers a new way for you to think about your work– in the realm of the visual. His work is of incredible value, and he makes a huge difference.
